Do you know the difference between "common" athletes and "elite" athletes?

Although there are exceptions, it usually isn't anything inherited, like most people think.

No, the difference between common and elite athletes is simply how badly they want it.

You can have all the talent in the world, but if you don't want something, you aren't going to put much effort into it.

One of my best friends growing up had so much talent it was unbelievable. He ran track and was always in top 3.

The amazing thing was, during the off season he could stop training, then come back the next season and still be unbelievable!

However, in his senior year he got into smoking and drinking too much and his performance went downhill. Although he did this, he still made it to districts and came in 3rd place.

Can you imagine what would have happened if he REALLY wanted it? He wouldn't have smoked, drank, or stopped training.

I guarantee he would have broken records. There's no doubt in my mind about that.

Not wanting something badly enough is a recipe for disaster. This is what causes you to lose motivation and therefore lose the battle in whatever you're trying to win.

I know of athletes who would stay after practice to keep practicing. Often these were the athletes who had disabilities or weaknesses which would otherwise leave them incapable of keeping up to everybody else.

But through perseverance they suddenly "came out of nowhere", and their entire lives changed for the better.

So how about you?

How badly do you want to lose the extra fat on your body?

What would you be willing to do to get rid of it?

Would you wake up 20 minutes earlier each day to work out?

Would you sacrifice precious TV time in order to exercise?

Would you skip 1 night out on the town to invest some money into knowledge that will teach you HOW to lose fat?

If you aren't willing to do these things, you aren't serious about your health. Plain and simple.

Take a minute to think about this and figure out how badly you want to lose weight. It might just change your life.
