Monthly Fitness Self-Disciple Challenge?
October 01, 2007
I just got in from doing hill sprints and have to leave for class in a few minutes so this will be a quickie.

I recently started something that I've dubbed the "monthly fitness self discipline challenge". I actually heard of the concept from a guy named Steve Pavlina who runs a personal development blog, and I just changed it into something I could improve my health with.

Simply put, you take a 30 day challenge in which you either do something or don't do something for the entire month.

For example, you could make it your monthly fitness self discipline challenge to do a few hindu squats and hindu pushups before going to work each morning. Or you can spend 5 minutes visualizing the day.

On the other hand you could leave something out of your life. For example, last month I went the entire month without any chips, pretzels, or the hardest part - popcorn! (Popcorn is my weak spot)

Now I'm very much into personal development, so I like to do 1 challenge for the personal development side of me, and another strictly for health.

This month my monthly fitness self discipline challenge is to go the entire month without grazing at work. No croutons, fries, crackers, blue cheese, bread, or any of that stuff.

In case you didn't know, I work at a restaurant.

Considering I work decently late and it's hard to find something healthy to eat at work, this might actually help me lose a pound or 2.

For the personal development side, I'm not going to play playstation 2 at all. This will help me focus more on building this website.

Alright, I'm going to be late. I'm sure they'll be glad to have me at class, still nice and sweaty from my amazing hill sprint workout I just did :)

Have an awesome day, and train hard!

Jeremy

PS - I'm thinking of creating a product (it would be relatively low priced and well worth the money) for people that would satisfy some type of fitness need. Something such as how to cure "X", how to run faster, jump higher, build mental toughness, etc. If you have any suggestions, please reply to this e-mail and let me know what you'd be interested in.
