Keeping fitness fun is very simple. All you really have to do is to keep doing the activities that you enjoy.

For me, that means I need to switch up the way I workout pretty frequently.

Now according to the experts, it's harder to measuring progression this way and is therefore not the "best" way to train, but it works great for me!

This Friday I'm going to break out of my household training in my living room and hit up my local gym I used to go to when I was 15-16 years old. Plus my best friend is going to be my training partner, so it's even better.

Periodically switching up the way you workout is a GREAT way to keep progress. Although you have to start over in terms of progression, you also shock your muscles by hitting them in a different manner.

It also boosts your metabolism because it isn't used to working out that certain way.

We'll be doing workouts consisting of 3 sets for each muscle group followed by running bleachers at our local stadium. Considering I've been using multi-joint exercises lately, I'm going to be pretty sore because my muscles aren't used to it.

Try it out, I bet you'll enjoy the switch. As they say, "diversity is the spice of life".

Remember that, and switch your programs often. If you're jogging now, try throwing in some sprints (even 50% sprints if you don't think you're in good enough shape). If you're doing bodyweight workouts, try hitting the gym - and vice versa.

Your muscles will thank you, your metabolism will thank you, and you'll thank yourself for taking my advice.

Have a great week,

Jeremy
