Choosing an abdominal exercise

Well, there is no paucity of exercises which promise you to help you get those six-pack abs.
After all, a six-pack abs is the desire and dream of every fitness freak.
Anyone who is a fitness freak works out a lot in the gymnasium doing those hundreds of abs-crunches (incline, decline and so on), machine abs-workouts etc.
But most of the people fail to get a six-pack. This might sound bad but that is the realty. Have you ever wondered why is that so? Take it this way - can you see a gift packed inside a box if you do not 'remove' the packing?
No, isn't it? In context to the abs the word 'remove' would stand for removal of that excess fat around your stomach.
That is perhaps the obstacle in your efforts to have a six-pack. However, you can get rid of that excess fat with dedication and smart techniques.
The latter are nothing but ‘cardio-exercises'. My favorite 'cardio' is the simple yet very effective 'jumping-rope'.
Not only does this exercise burn excess fat quite quickly, it also strengthens your legs and calves.
Try jumping a rope and see the difference. Start slowly with 2-3 minutes of skipping and then work your way to 15-20 minutes.
It is important to perform cardiovascular exercises at least three times a week so get results.
