My favorite stomach exercise - The "100"
The exercises on this web site are fine for the young folk and those who are already in terrific shape.
But if your a senior, or a beginner who would like to get their abs in shape but you might find hanging leg lifts and the like a little strenuous.
Try my favorite pilates abdominal exercise. It's called, "The 100".
Lay on your mat, legs together out straight, arms by your sides, palms facing the floor.
Lift your legs six to twelve inches off the floor while raising your back from the floor,an equal amount, and hold.
While holding tap the floor with
your open hands ten times. The stronger your abs get the slower the count should be.
Lay back down slowly, take a deep breath then repeat nine more times.
Hence the name, "The 100".
Hint: when raising your back off the floor and don't
tip your head forward to look at your toes.
The first time I tried this exercise, I was only able to do four repetitions, but it was only a short time until I was able to do the complete
regime.
Maybe if you're feeling a little Spartan, you could do, "The 300".
