Tradition Never Fails!

The best (and my personal favorite) stomach exercise is the traditional sit up.

This age old exercise (if done correctly) is the cheapest, simplest way to achieve that toned look for your tummy without having to go to the gym!

All you need to begin this exercise is yourself, a floor, and maybe an exercise mat.

Begin with your back flat on the ground, legs bent, and with your hands behind your head. Pull yourself all the way up to your knees using your abdomen (making sure not to strain your neck and back while doing this).

Exhale as you pull up, exhale as you lay back down. Do not let your shoulder blades touch the floor. This gives you more resistance and will give your tummy and better workout.

To give the muscles on the sides on your stomach a workout, lay on the side of you stomach that you are not going to work out, with your knees bent.

Pull yourself up using your tummy muscles the same way as you did before only now you are on your side.

Repeat this for the other side and you have had a full abdomen workout in the comfort of your own home!
